Appeal or revision in application dismissed u/s 151 cpc

I had file one application u/s 151 CPC in Contempt Petition (O 39 R 2A) , Court has dismissed my application. Please let me know what I have to file: Appeal in District Court or Revision in High Court?

In my little knowledge Appeal is the remedy for Dismissal. Revision has minor scope.
if the Application was for stay, than you approach higher forum for stay.
