Associate Member in haryana cooperative societies

My doubt is theres a flat in a cooperative housing society. On this flat there was registered conveyance deed between my father and my mother after my father passed away a relunquishment deed was registered between me and my mother. Now my mother would be the prime member in the share certificate she being the nominee noted by my father in the society records; so can i be the associate member?? I dont want my name in share certificate. I went to the assistant registrar office of the coop societies they said an associate member can only be if the deed is between husband and wife. Please help
