Bjp is still living in the self created euphoria

BJP continues to live in the self created euphoria that it is Modi's magic that won General elections.  Regarding Amitshah's elevation nothing more can be said than this - kuch logon ko ijjat denge, nahito gaali depaayenge. Means common man has freedom of expression.  Kuch logonko ijjat dena PADTAA hain.

Hope the message goes to the party.  There is lot of gap between legal standards and moral standards in our country.  It is unfortunate that politicians have chosen legal standards as the yardstick for the probity in public life.  That is why there is so much of criminalization in politics today.  Courts acquit people not because they find people innocent but because the crimes against them is not established.  That is taken as an excuse by political parties to justify criminals in their parties as if Courts have certified about their moral conduct and people are fooled also on this count day in and out.

The election of Amithshah signifies a thought pattern in political parties that - winning elections is an art to be developed and cultivated and it is of paramount concern and it overrides everything else.  If what is done in preceding two months of the elections is going to decide fate of elections, then that itself is an indication that there are concerns which over ride the issues of governance even.  And also it shows that parties think that it is 'election booth management' that is more important than anything else.  Not to say, what they have in mind about the wisdom of people that they think people are so gullible that they could be 'manipulated' to such an extent that they fool themselves in the preceding two months of election about their choice owing to the "election management skills" of politicians like Amit shah.

If BJP is living in this kind of myopia, no one can help.  Better it comes out of self created euphoria about the image of Modi and the election management skills of their party cadres under the leadership of leaders like Amith shah and concentrate on things that requires their attention.  If a party performs badly when in government no amount of election management skills can catapult it to power.
