Breaking of Engagement(roka)

Hi experts,

My brother recently got engaged (roka) in a gathering of 25-30 people, after talking to the girl, the girl doesn't seem to be interested, doesn't pick his calls, doesn't call, may or may not reply to messages etc.
She has also stopped all communication since a few days and is not responding to his calls or messages.
We although want to continue the marriage but the girl seems difficult to communicate and unresponsive and hence we are also thinking about breaking the engagement:
The roka was done by the girl side and may have incurred 30k in function, gifts were exchanger from both sides. There is no dowry involved, but we fear that they may accuse us as this is the trend nowadays.
We want to be on safe side as we all are working professionals and do not want any trouble in life.

what's the best way to deal with this situation so that there is no chance that we get falsely accessed?

Talk to them and break it off. Return the received gifts and receive the gifts you gave.  Share roka expenses.  Talking with them will dispel your apprehensions.
