budget of cooperative housing society

dear learned advocates

on 28th September, during our housing society's AGM, the budget for 2024 couldn't be passed because the members objected to several financial irregularities. Subsequently, in October, all MC members resigned voluntarily, and the Registrar appointed a 3 members adhoc committee to run day to day affairs of the society until the new election is held to elect new MC members. As per bye laws adhoc committee cannot take any major decision

in view of the above facts, u would request highly learned advocates on how to pass the budget for 2024 by the adhoc committee members.

your valuable advice with reference to Maharashtra Cooperative Housing Society Act 1960 rules and sections would be highly appreciated

The society is not run by the regular and elected body  instead it is run thorugh an adhoc body which is toothless in this regard and cannot take any decision.

Therefore you cannot insist on budget or any other vital issue to be implemented in the absence of a regular or an elected body, you may have to wait for the committee to be elected for taking up all the vital programs of the association, until then you cannot geyt any assistance through any legal forum in this regard.

Approach Registrar Cooperative Societies to issue necessary directions for earliest elections of new Managing Committee of the Society and get the budget approved by fresh GBM.
