Builder not doing his job

Me and my 3 neighbours i.e(4 family) has given our land to builder for development. Only we will give money and he will build the building as we want and same to each one. This deal was done at March 2015. In 5 months he build only building but not do any inside works. We 4 party has given him 85% money and we have a proof of that. And he completed only 40 % work. Is there is any Legal process that will help us? Now he is demanding for remaining money and says that when he gets money then he will start work. Please help us..

HAve you got any written agreement with the builder?

What does the agreement state? When you are supposed to make him the payment? What is the basis on which you first made 85% payment, especially when the builder has not completed more than 40% of work.

Without knowing the terms and conditions in the contract/agreement, it is not possible to give any useful answer to your query.

Better consult a lawyer in your area.
