I am buying a new apartment in Shirdi, Maharashtra. The "Agreement for Sale" is done in the Registrar office. Now I am about to make the final payment as the flat is ready. Is it required to do "Sale Deed" before paying the final amount? Thanks in advance to the experts.

Yes get the Sale Deed and pay the final payment before the sub registrar at the time of Sale Deed registration

You can pay the final payment on the date of registration of sale deed in your name by the vendor
