Can a gift deed written on a plain paper be registered ?

Dear sir /madam, if a gift deed (made as per islamic shariat laws) of a immovable property (a house) is written on a plain paper in presence of two witnesses & donor is dead then can this be registered after donor's death & can be made a legal valid document as per law or it is mandatory to write only on stamp paper & register only during life time of a donor?

Dear Sir/Madam,

It is well settled law that gift should be made by the Donor to the Donee during the lifetime of former and later has to accept it. So in your case the gift can not be made after the death of Donor. There are certain conditions tobe fulfilled before someone has to make a gift. Thereby it is advisable to consult legal expert for further information.

Thanks,

Subhash
