Can a tenant question rights of legal heir

Hi All

One of the co-owner of the family property (my paternal grand mother) died a natural death. None of her children are not alive at this point of time. I, being her grandson and beneficiary as per her last WILL, am legal heir to her share in the said property. However, the tenant is refusing to pay her share of rent, asking for proof of me being her legal heir. My questions to respected panelists are -

1) Can the tenant question the rights or authenticity of a legal heir?

2)  Is it required for me to provide a copy of her last WILL to the tenant? Keeping sensitivity of WILL in perspective, is it advisable?

3) Can the tenant challenge the authenticity of the WILL in case he has maligned intentions to not to pay rent at all?

Please guide. Thank you
