If any cruelty happened on you then you can lodge a complaint to Police or file a case in the Court personally without a lawyer or you can take help from Legal Services Authority of your State.

In your first query you said "you want to fight your own case".

Now you say "What is the procedure?"

 Why anyone will tell you about the procedure???

It's just like "A person who has defect in his ear says I can hear someone clearly but  can anyone tell me where I can get the Hearing-Aid so that at-least I can hear Someone."

if you fight your own case.You must know the procedure by yourself then too.

You can put case, like for eg if you want to put 498a or DV case, then you have be well versed with both the laws, know about filing affidavit, application, memo, obtaining copies etc Join some law college, in 4 years you will be lawyer and can file your own case and run it free of cost.
