Hi All, we had a civil suit going on for a property dispute between my grandmother and her children filed by her youngest daughter. As per our lawyer, the property is self acquired by our grandmother and not liable for partition. The case is going on for some 10 years. Is it okay to get a second opinion from a different lawyer? Do other lawyers usually provide a second opinion for a fees? If yes how much do they charge usually?
Don't through burden on lawyer - As per our lawyer, the property is self acquired by our grandmother and not liable for partition. - it is your duty to whether it is self acquired(purchased) or ancestral property..
Once the suit is pending on any property an pending the suit if there is any property, it hit by Lispendens.. And such transaction is void.. So try to dispose of the suit at earliest. It I the only remedy.
