Can we run a a profit organization with donations for ?

Dear Scholars, Can we run a company/ organization for social cause but it would not be an NGO, it would be registered as for profit organization. If yes, please confirm the section of law supporting the same.

Yes u can subject to the condition that u will not get full tax benefit

Mr Kumud is right If you want to do charity then you can do it through any organization it may be profitable or non-profitable There is no bar to do charity?
