Change of name

I have changed my name to anika sreekant after marriage on june,2014. All the educational certificates are in my original name of anushka. I have changed the name by an affidavit sworn before a notary in Bangalore and have also published the announcement in 02 newspapers. I have applied for the UPSC csat2014 in my changed name of Anika sreekant. I would like to know about the following:

1) Whether the change in name would affect my selection in the examination?

2) Is it necessary and possible to change the name on all the educational certificates?

3) Is it necessary to publish the announcement in the Gazette of India as well?

regards

Yes. U can change name as like you. You apply before your local Tahsildar/rev. authorities with new and old name and what is erase to change name. Ofter initial of said Revenue authorities you go to the govt. Press. They issue one GO that change of your name That should be published in one daily news paper Then you can use new name. this is for information.
