I want to chage my name in birth certificate issued at pondicherry. My year of birth is 1979. I have used a different name in my school, college and driving licence, voter id etc. But now when i applied for a passport, the verfication officer noted the name difference and asked to change the name in birth certificate(even after seeing my 10th certificate which is in the present name). kindly tell me how to chage the name in my birth certificate and whom to contact in detail.
