Hi friend,
First tell for what purpose u need character certificate?
Who writes it? Who receives it? What is it used for?

To Whom It May Concern:

This is to certify that Mr. ......................................, son of .........................................., worked as a Senior Executive in our company from .............................. to ............................ with our entire satisfaction. During his working period we found him a sincere, honest, hardworking, dedicated employee with a professional attitude and very good job knowledge. He is amiable in nature and in character as well. Hi Mr. Bharat! when you are saying chracter certificate, it is obivous that it is for good charachter. The certificate should be as short as possible, saying only his charachter before the person giving him and not charachter in general. This caution has to be taken while giving chracter certificate. There is no standard format.

Normally the Local Police Station, AFTER appropriate verification, issues a Good Character Certificate, on your application, which is to be supported by Ration Card or other proof of address. The Certificate genrally states, that you do not have any adverse record in the police files and that you live within the jurisdiction of that police station. Other'ways, the local Sarpanch or the Politician (MLA, Mininister, ...) also issue such certificates, but they really do not mean "Good Character Certificate". It is only a "known person certificate" of sorts. Keep Smiling ... Hemant Agarwal
