Good Day,,
I had started up a frenchise in which i had given initial money which was refundable if in case the frenchise is discontinued.... due to some reasons the frenchise didnt work....on closing the shop i was given a check for that refundable amount but a post dated one. the date of check to produce in the bank is tomm. if in case the check bounces what will be the issue.....i being totally unaware of the same can somebody help me.......

If your cheque will be bounce, it is the punishable offence U/S. 138 NI Act.

thanx sir.... could u please add to this that if they place a stop payment to the same cheque will it be regarded as a cheque bounce n come under the same section and can they do this stop payment.....n within how many days i have to approach to the court after cheque bounces....n with what document....thanx n regards
