Hi all,
There are many judgements clarifying that a working lady is not eligible for maintanance. I want to know if a 498a girl drawing annual pacage of 14-15 lacs and having property in her name, can legally claim one time alimony from her husband. Or alimony and maintanance are treated in the same manner for a working lady.

If she is earning so much than it's the time for Husband to claim maintenance or Alimony from her

The parameters to decide the petitions under Section 125 cr.p.c. or Section 24 HMA are quite different to the applications under S. 25 HMA (permanent alimony) or Section 18 H.M.A. Not just indigent conditions, but the life styles of the estranged parties will be taken into consideration while awarding permanent alimony.
