Company Extending Notice Period Without Inform

Hi all,

               In the appointment order and confirmation letter it was mentioned 1 month is a notice period and i also signed.  But now when I give 1 month notice period hr is saying company policy is changed and  2 months is notice period . What I have to do anyone tell me?

Hi Vaggeesun,

If the company has communicated you the new policy then you are entitled for the 2 months notice. However, if the amendment was not communicated by the management to you and which you can prove that you were not communicated then you only have to provide 1 month notice. Still if they are not ready to do FNF settlement then you can take legal action against them.

Please make sure that when i mean company did not communicate about change in policy means not individually to you but it can be a general circular which you cannot say you did not read.

If you have not given your acceptance, to letter to you, circular to all including you,you are governed by previous rule of 1 month notice.
