Compromise in front of police

Sir,
Please help me in this regard

We have a piece of land of about 700 sq yard (on the name of my father) out of which we sold 365 sq yard to Mr. X in 1994 this sold land is  in the back side of the left portion and the passage is through the left over portion.

On 03 Jan 2014 we started construction and Mr. X lodged a police complaint on which we made a written compromise in front of Police saying that he will give land in lieu of exclusive passage
but now my father is saying that he will give passage but not exclusive passage as per the compromise and even don't want the land in lieu of passage.

The complaint Mr. X lodged with Police was that we are stopping his passage
(now we are not stopping his passage instead not taking any land from him in lieu of passage)

Pls suggest how could we change the conditions in the compromise?

Shall I write an application to the Chowki in charge (copy to Mr. X) of my area for change in compromise?

Please suggest

Dear,

You better visit your area Magistrate and get the same settled there with clear terms as to the effect, because any compromise done in presence of police officials is as good as nothing, reason being any party latter in time can retract mentioning that the same was made to be done by threat or pressure by the police itself.
