Dear and respected experts,
As per your advice i have hired an advocate.I have one more doubt Is it must that my wife should come to the court on the first hearing .Is there possibilty for not coming ?If I demand for counseling can she neglect for coming to counseling?

a matrimonial petition is a civil case that is tried in Family court.

ur wife can use the mediation offered for 2 purposes, viz. - reconciliation / dragging the case for a long time.
