As per AP High Court Judgment, documents obtained under RTI are valid documentary evidence and treated as public record. It all depends on circumstances. Most important is that the record must be created by the authority during parts of their duties in the past. Misinterpreting the facility, some public authorities with connivance and conspiracy started collecting some documents several years after from interested parties nd providing it to unsuspecting citizens as their record to mislead applicants. It is proper to thoroughly verify such origin of documents and confirm with supporting documents.

Any document can be challenged and it is upon those parties that has to challenge the veracity in document during cross examination. But, it can not be rejected at the time of admission. Any vali document can be objecteted and it is the other party's argument that holds good on such reasons.
