Dear Members,
Two unmarried girls aged 26 and 21 years, youngest of a family of eight siblings, six sisters (elder four married) and two brothers (both above 25 years) are employed by me and earn their livelihood. Both their parents were central govt employees (civilian defence employees) and are no more. Their mother died in the year 2001 and the father in 2006 while in service. Their father received family pension and other benefits of the wife after her death. This family pension stopped when the husband too died. Some noble souls through the office of the deceased govt servants helped the young children get the gratuity and pension arrears of their father to the eldest son who had by then attained 25 years of age and no further pension was disbursed for this reason. The service book of the deceased person had only the names of his two sons recorded as nominees. The youngest two unmarried girls have now managed to get 'Succession Certificate' from the judiciary. In view of the background brought out above please answer the following queries:-
1. Are the two unmarried girls entitled to family pension and arrears of their father from the day their brothers attained 25 years?
2. Are they entitled to family pension of their mother and arrears from the day their father died ,that is, year 2006?
3. Is the succession certificate good enough proof for them to apply and become eligible for family pension of father as well as mother?
4. Are they entitled to this dual pension till they remain unmarried?
