How to get court order in India for change of name from maiden name to name after marriage? Procedure and under what provision?Pl answer this query urgently.

Dear Sukhija,
I don't think a court order is necessary for name change. You have to apply in the government gazette for name change and also give paper publication notifying the name change. It is sufficient.

Simple affidavit sworn before the notary and paper publication is sufficient.
