Cross examination

There are total 4 respondents in a case.. in the month of april respondent no.1 cross examine started and was deferred due to less time in court. Judge gave a date for the month of may.. but in may respondent no. 3 appeared for her cross examine.. my query is dat if by chance cross examine of respondent no.3 had taken place in may so does it mean that respondent no. 1 cross examine wud hv closed automatically ?
