this point is about transfers sought within govt school teaching job in delhi.
these teachers are only allowed transfer within delhi state.
now suppose if a teacher's family is moving to another state,for example,maharashtra or punjab,she'll have to resign from her delhi govt job which she got after working so hard to pass a competitive exam.she'll have to reapply for a new job in the new state which she may/may not get..
many teachers are coming daily from noida,guragaon,faridabad,ghaziabad to work in delhi,causing too much travelling time.it's because they have no facility of transfer to schools in those places.this drains them of their energy,and affects their productvity at work.
so why not introduce such provisions to bring all state govt. schools of india under the ambit of one central body,so that whenever someone wants to move to another state,for reasons like getting married,husband's transfer,etc. he does not have to resign,but simply apply for transfer?
i personally know of couples getting divorced,when the husband's MNC job made him move to a different state but the wife could not join him because of her secure govt job in delhi.
i also know of cases where many delhi govt. employed girls had to reject good marriage proposals from guys working in other states,only because they'll have to quit their permanent delhi jobs.
so,if this new system is introduced ,it'll a great relief to 1000s of teachers all over india.
also delhi will not be flooded with candidates from the entire india seeking teaching job here for higher pay scales.they'll be uniformly distributed all over india.
