Demolotion after caveat

I legally own a property and had asked the person staying in the property  for ten years to vacate the property. The person refused. My  lawyer suggested to file a caveat. The caveat copy went to the person. The person responded with the caveat claiming the entire property is his though no documents in his name.

Now can I demolish the property as the case has not been filed in the court? Having started with the Caveat will stop either of us interfereing with the property?? The sole intention of this person is to drag the case as long it goes so that i cannot touch the property in his lifetime..
