Demand of evidence to prove verified entries in the service book leading to harassment at work place

the current Principal of Government Senior Secondary School under the Government of Punjab has directed all teaching staff to furnish evidence / documentary proof to substantiate the accuracy of entries recorded in their respective Service Books, despite these entries having been previously verified and authenticated by former Heads of the Institution and other competent authorities.

This directive appears to lack justification, as the Service Book entries have already undergone due verification, approval, and attestation by authorized officers in accordance with established procedures. The insistence on such re-verification not only creates an undue administrative burden but also results in unnecessary harassment of employees, undermining their dignity and professional standing.

What is your query?

there appears no legal issue involved in this except for your dissatisfaction in the routine administrative instructions passed by the head of the institute.

this is a practical issue, hence you may look for solution locally

This amounts to harassment in the workplace. There is a Supreme Court Judgement on the issue that I am searching for.

You can search for the particular judgment yourself through google or any other law websites.
