Difference betwwenn dv and cr.pc 125

Ltd Members of LCI

Sir DV and Section of Cr. PC 125, both are regarding maintenance. So what is the basic

dissimilarity between the said?

Under DVA a woman from an invalid marriage or a woman who is in a live in relationship can claim maintenance while u/s 125, Cr.PC the wife should be a legally and duly wedded wife as per the mandate of Hon'ble SC.
