Divorce

my son and daughter in law have filed a mutual divorce petition in a family court on 17-01-2011,court has 17-8-2011 for next hearing.what is the remedy if daughter in law refuses to confirm her consent

There is no remedy as such but as per my assumption there have been some consideration basis which she would have agreed for MC divorce that would have been documented in the petition ideally she would not back out and there are just 2 days left so wait and watch if she turns up for second motion.

Last minute hiccups or just fear.

If she doesnot appear, and if the agreement was there based on some kind of other consideration, you can take it to High Court

Otherwise file a case for divorce from your son's side based on facts like desertion/ cruelity.

Hopefully, she would turn up
