I am an NRI and my wife filed divorce against me in Chennai / Tamil Nadu and obtained divorce(The divorce judgement was passed in Cheanni/Tamil Nadu. I have a copy of the Divorce judgement, as proof). However, I would like to know if it is possible to get a Divorce certificate or at the very least a Letter(with seal) saying that I am divorced. It needed not be from court but a letter or certificate from marriage registrar or any other goverment office would suffice.
The reason I want the certificate or letter is that, in the divorce she make some accusations that are mentioned in the judgement. I just want a simple letter(with seal) or document saying that I am divorced. So that I can use that as a proof that I am divorced (instead of the judgement)
Is it possible to get a certificate or letter based on the divorce judgement, by engaging the lawyers on this forum or other personnel. I have the copy of the judgement if needed.
