Instead of executing a document on Rs 20 stamp paper, if I executed it on Rs100 stamp paper - will the document be invalid because of incorrect stamp value?
Commonsense dictates it is valid but just want to make sure.

Respected Ma'am,
It will definately be a valid legal document. Even otherwise the deficiency (whether higher or lower can be cured subsequently).
Thanks and best regards

As pointed by daksh, If the stamp of higher value is used, it does not invalidate the document. Even if the stamp of lower value is used, the same can be validated by paying deficit stamp and penalty.

Res m'm usage of higher value in all transaction is a safety measure.
