To all who are deprived of enhanced gratuity amount.
The recent amendment to GA Act 2010 is effective from 24th May 2010 for all PSUs, Banking & Insurance sectors while the advantage of enhanced gratuity of Rs. 10 lacs is effective for Central Govt & state govt employees from 1.1.2006 i.e. the date of 6th pay commission recommendations. So all other employees of PSUs, Banking & Insurance sectors have been deprived of the enhanced gratuity amount of Rs. 10 lacs. So there's the discrimination regarding effective date of the enhanced gratuity. One retired employee of SBI Shri Badjatya from Indore has filed a suit about this discrimination but how long will it take one doesnt know. So, lets write to the parliament committee about this discrimination and request them to make the effective date same as for the Central Govt employees i.e. 1.1.06 so that emp. who retired between 1.1.06 and 23.5.2010 will be benefitted.
