There wont be any stage for dismissal.  If plaintiff failed to adduce his evidence inspite of sufficient opportunity  to lead the evidence then court can dismiss the suit for want of prosecution.

Listing a case under the caption "For Dismissal" is a practice followed in the High Courts.  It is the discretion of the court.  If a case posted for dismissal and the same was dismissed, later it can be restored by filing a petition.  Therefore dismissed for default is not a proper remedy.

Their exist a stage in city civil courts where court can keep the matter "for dismissal" when either party fails to appear or fails to obey the orders of the court while in HC, court can dismissed a petition on the ground of want of prosecution which can be restored by moving an application for restoration of that dismissed petition.
