Forgery and specific relief act

I entered into MOU with a person X to settle dispute in the property and take care of the property  and recieved a token consideration. ILater Mr. X forged my sign and prepared a document that he has given me full consideration and I have executed a release doc and POA relinquishing my complete right to him and indemnify him. When I got to know abt that I sent notice asking him to send the alleged doc. But now after six months he filed a case in specific relief act ( notice yet to be served to me). I filed police complain to police regrading the forgery done by him. Now one of my friend says if you won't challenge the doc than he will be in better side as bcz of some "prior in time better in time.." something.

Dear experts, please advise me what civil and criminal process should I initiate?

You have to challenge his case for specific performance of contract.  If you are sure that you have not signed the papers, you can very well challenge his case.
