My son (18 year old) wants to apply for a re-issue of passport as his old passport has expired. We changed his name through gazette in tamil nadu, but with few house moves in Bangalore - i cannot find the publication copy.
His birth certificate and his old passport has same name which was changed later. I do recall showing the gazette when he joined new school in Bangalore, i tried to get a copy of the same from the school. But they do not have a copy in their records. In my son's current records/documents (e.g. TC, 10th mark sheet, aadhar card) he has changed name.
What could be done to circumvent this situation and apply for passport with the required proof of name change.
