Gift Deed

Hi all,

My father gave me a plot as gift deed and registered it in my name .  I have a elder brother, who was also one of the witness for the registeration .

my question is -->  is there any possibility my brother or dad can claim any rights on the property in future .

Will the gift deed registered in my name will hold good ?

If not , what should i do ? to make it secure , so that niether my brother or dad can't claim any rights on it in future.

Please advice .

Thanks,

Praveen

If it is your father's self acquired property and thru., gift deed by your father then no one challenge it.

first of all i would like to know what kind of property it is ? is it ancestral property or is it self acquired property? because if it is ancestral property then yes they can claim but if it is self acquired property then no one can claim?

Yes, find out whether it is self acquired property of your father or ancestral property first. After all your father can not possibly make a gift to you of the property belonging to others.Yes, rajeev is right if it is self acquired property.

Whether Hiba under muslim law requires registration
