It’s All in the Brain, what’s going on There?

“Brain Foods are those which improve brain functions. The best foods for our brains are those which are having “low Glycemic Index”(The rate at which the sugar from food enters brain cells and other cells is measured by “ Glycemic  Index (GI)”.

  1. Bananas
  2. Brewers’ yeast
  3. Broccoli
  4. Brown Rice
  5. Brussels sprouts
  6. Cheese
  7. Chicken
  8. Eggs
  9. Flaxseed oil
  10. Legumes
  11. Milk
  12. Oatmeal
  13. Oranges
  14. Peanut butter
  15. Peas
  16. Potatoes
  17. Lettuce
  18. Salmon
  19. Soybeans
  20. Spinach
  21. Wheat germ

It is also equally important to know the foods that decreases our Brain Function or Power

  1. Alcohol
  2. Nicotine
  3. Hydrogenated Fats
  4. Artificial food colorings
  5.   Artificial sweeteners
  6. Colas
  7. Corn syrup
  8. Frostings
  9. Junk sugars
  10. Overeating
  11. White bread

Alcohol kills brain cells.

Nicotine constricts the capillaries, results in restricted blood flow to the brain, thus supply of glucose and oxygen reduced in to brain.
