Grand Children's rights in Ancestral Property

Grandfather died in-estate, without a will. All the class 1 heirs are alive and divided in factions, Faction 1 has served a legal notice against Faction 2 demanding partition/sale. I want to know that in case the court orders sale of property (or if the class 1 heirs mutually agree to sell), can the children of faction 1 (grandchildren of main owner) stop the sale (i.e. is their consent to relinquish their right required?)?
