GST on Maintenance Charges of Flats in co op Hsg soc Mumbai

1)Builder/Developer has collected GST charges on Maintenance while entering in Agreement before ,formation of co op Hsg soc.,in Mumbai.He is refusing to part with details of Amount spent on GST.How to get the Account of GST received and paid by him.
2) Builder/Developer collected Maintenance Charges based on Sq ft Area and this is mentioned in Agreement.While giving un audited accounts to society he is showing this on per flat basis.There are different sizes of flats in How to compel him to give Expenses on Sq ft basis as per Agreement.

Yes, a builder can charge GST on maintenance if the services provided are part of the maintenance agreement and the builder is registered under GST. The applicable GST rate is typically is 18%.  However according to GST standards, maintenance charges are exempted from GST up to Rs 7500/ per month.

You can issue a legal notice to the builder if he is not acceding to your request to furnish the GST payment details, demanding the same legally.
