Hindu Succesion Act 2005

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding Hindu Succession Act 2005

My father owns some ancestral property in Andhrapradesh, India.  I am the daughter and have two brothers.  I got married in 1994.  My question is, according to the new Hindu Succession Act 2005, do I have any right of inheritence in my father's ancestral property?

I would greatly appreciate any help regarding this.

Thank you

Mam,

You do have equal right in your fathers ancestral property as equal as your brothers.

you cannot claim right if the properties are sold or alienated before 21.12.2004.  If still there are properties now you can claim partition.
