How do go abt it

Married since more than15years. One marriage under 2 rituals, first a Nikahnama and then Hindu Marriage. Boy a hindu before Nikah, girl a muslim. No conversions for Hindu marriage..

Nikahnama was out of state and Hindu marraige in Mumbai. Have a nikahnama(cetificate by kazi). Marriage was not registered under Special Marriage Act. Used Nikahnama and date for all puposes.

Now need a divorce, what are the options...

1) Approach Kazi for Talaknama.

2) Can I go approach Mumbai family court for divorce on the strength of Nikahnama, even when marriage not registered under  special marriage act?

Marriage is not registered under Special Marriage Act. We only have a Nikahnama.
