How to inspect case file

i am from delhi, yes i am the petitioner in the case.

Well myself in Maharashtra So I can only say what is procedure in civil manual in maharashtra (All rules under CPC are placed here)

1) Party should file application , telling he want to inspect document

2) That clerk decides or Judge. But if denied and advocate has filled vakaltname then he has to come

3) Practical experience--- Clerk and Judge don't give brief in hand of person generally because may be there are many criminals in court and they can do manupulation in brief. So they prefer person with Advocate dress. But as per rules if you give application you can see . Additionally it has to be done in front of them without having pen or any thing which can damage paper. If advocate vakaltnama is there they may insist for him , depends upon Judge
