The meaning of "impersonation" is not known. If it means that the registration was done with forgery and impersonation, then it amounts to fraud. I understand some state govt where web land is functioning, has given powers to Sub-Registrar for cancellation of documents that are forged. Please first contact the sub-registrar and inform him and seek his advice for a remedy. Then issue a legal notice to the purchaser, sub-registrar, and paper publication also mark a copy to Revenue/Municipality authorities. Equipped with all this then make a complaint in the jurisdictional police station. Depending on the response contact a local advocate. Such fraudulent instruments can not bind you but still, such documents require cancellation through laid down law.

Who is the ultimate victim?
Please go through above reply in full to both the registrar, the innocent purchaser and you can file a complaint against such a seller that used fake documents.
Sorry, I could not understand "Cancelled sale deed with the actual person", contact a local advocate whether such process is legally valid or not.
