How to remove my brother from co-borrower of home loan

Hi, I have borrowed Home loan in Feb'16 from HDFC bank with my brother is co-borrower, as bank insisted for same. I am paying all EMIs since last 1 year and wants to remove my brother from co-borrower, which he has no objection to. Can someone please suggest process for same. Secondly as i have paid all EMIs of 2016-17, can i claim deduction for Sec. (24) and Sec. 80 (C) alone ? as my brother will not claimed it.
