Iit advanced cut off prejudices thousands of students

Affected Students : Around 20000

Can any SC lawyer take up this as PIL, it is urgent and required to be taken within 2-3 das, matter most urgent and brief is given below.

IITJEE(Advanced 2015) : Reduction in cut off to 24.5% cannot be made midway after declaring in the brochure at 35%. This prejudices thousands of students who scored between 24.5% and 29% in IITJEEMains. IITs feel that a reserved category students can get 12.25% in advanced from -7% in mains, but a general category students cannot get 24.5% in advanced from a 29% in Mains ? This is illegal.

In all the categories except General category (and nominally in SC category), the qualifying cut off marks for the IITJEE(Advanced) is higher than that of precursor IITJEE(Mains) examination. But in the case of General category this is reduced from 29% to 24.5%. The IITs feel that students of all the categories, except General Category, will perform better in JEE (Advanced) Examination as Compare to JEE (Mains) examination, which is baseless and hopelessly untrue. How can it be stated that a General category student who has scored 28.9 % in JEE(Mains) (not qualified for JEE Advanced) would not have score 24.5 % marks in the JEE Advanced if opportunity granted to him, while a person of other category who scored 19% would score 22.5%  or  a person who scored -5% would score 12.25% ? This reduction in marks is a clear cut prejudice to at least those General category students who scored between 24.5 % to 29% in JEE (Mains) and number of such students are likely to be in thousands and available with IIT examination council.

It is irrational, illogical and against natural justice even to suggest that a general category student cannot increase his marks in the IITJEE(Advanced) as compare to IITJEE(mains) but other category students can increase their marks by a whopping 19% (-7% to 12.25%). On this score alone the entire IITJEE(Advanced) must be scrapped and re-taken based on some sound justifiable eligibility criterion.

If you are affected better to approach yourself by writing all details to the chief justice through the registrar general to the court. Time is short.
