Illegal tenants

Hi , i own a flat in bhimavaram and came to know that my father in law has sublet it to tenants without my knowledge and has been collecting the rent of the house in cash without rental agreement  for the last one year. i couldnt monitor it as i am posted in Army at delhi and had undergone brain tumour surgery during the operiod. when i sent a registered letter to the tenant to vacate the house or enter in to a rent agreement with me, they refused to recieve the letter. The local police station refused to get into it and warn the tenants. Request urgent help as i am taking emergency leave and going to sort out the issue....regards

If you own property and your father in law has let it to somebody else without your prior knowledge, it is totally wrong and unacceptable. If you are on good terms with your father in law There is not much that you want to do. However if you are not on good terms then you could be sueing your father in law for getting the property vacated.

You can file a case of criminal trespassing over the illegal occupants to make them vacate the premises
