As per your query, no, the custom of “impartible estate” is no more applicable in Uttar Pradesh. The Supreme Court of India has crossed out this provision stating that there is no statutory law to support this. Now the succession and transfer of property is done by the laws given in Section 5of Hindu Succession Act, 1956.
