Implications of section 498a on career prospects

One of my close friend is facing dowry harassment charge filed by his wife under section 498A. He is deeply worried. He is presently working in MNC. He is looking for a job change. He fears that new prospective employer might reject his case basis the background verification done upon selection. Please advice on the following:
1) Whether the FIR under section 498A will be highlighted during background check. If yes, how seriously it will be taken by companies (MNC/Indian) ?
2) My friends feels that the charges are false and he will get acquitted. So is there any need for him to disclose the case with current organization?

3) Which type of criminal offences are taken into account while conducting the background check of any prospective employee? Whether allegation of an offence under section 498A qualifies to be serious enough to bar a prospective employee?
