Have you contacted the Bank?

what did bank tel you.

The query is not clear. Are you the purchaser of or the benefociary under the DD? Was it an SBI DD that was lost?  If you are the purchaser of the DD approach the Bank with the chalan counterfoil and ask them. Whatever advice you may get here or elsewhere in front of a temple, you will not get your money back unless you satisfy the bank. Bank will be having set procedures for such cases.
