Index ii correction

I purchased a flat where there is mistake in earlier owner index ii.. With regards to area. Short area shown . I have registered documents with correct area.and new index ii shows correct area and correct stamp duty is paid by me. How to rectify the old index ii. And is there any concern in this.

Thanks for reply shrenikji. But is it possible to rectify it if old builder and seller agrees for rectification now.
